Product Description
The RAM camera base contains a 1" rubber ball that is connected to a 2.5" diameter round base. Also, included is a 1/4"-20 threaded steel stud, centered, the round base provides support and stability for cameras that rest on top of it. The male 1/4"-20 threaded steel stud will connect to any standard female thread found on camcorders and digital cameras.

I have a Motorcycle computer called a Veypor VR2 that comes with the RAM mount system, I just got this because I am mounting in the Microcar project that I am building (see it at [...]) this unit just mounted to my dash better than the one provided by Veypor...the RAM system seems really stable and adjustable

This is a must have items if you already own a RAM system. It securely holds my camera and gives it a stable point to film from.
