Note:The "U" in the part number reflects product packaged in poly bag. The cradle includes a set of two nuts and bolts to connect the cradle to any of the RAM compatible mounts. RAM cradles do not include the RAM-B-238U (Diamond Base & Ball) or RAP-B-238U (Diamond Composite Base & Ball), required to attach to the cradle and RAM mounting system.

I like the holder, but it does NOT come with a RAM mount ball on the back side. A photo of the back would clarify that. Also, you cannot insert or remove the GPS unit with the power cord attached. This is a problem depending on how tight things are behind your RAM mount location.

This mount fits the Nuvi 500 like a glove - holding it very secure. RAM devices are heavy duty and well made. My only quibble with this mount is it almost secures too well, making it difficult to remove my Nuvi from its grasp without fear of scratching the Nuvi housing. This caused me to give a 4-star rather than a 5 star rating.
